JoAnne Tillemans
President, Avalon International Strategies, Inc.
JoAnne
has seventeen years of experience in international finance and is President
of Avalon International Strategies Inc., a company that she founded twelve
years ago to provide international treasury management services for corporations.
Avalon’s projects typically include identification of types of foreign
exchange exposures throughout a corporation, review of existing methodology
for management, and recommendations as to hedging strategies. In addition,
Avalon works through the implementation, execution, accounting and tax
issues related to foreign exchange management. Avalon is incorporated
in California and registered as an investment advisory firm. Avalon has
developed, implemented, audited and monitored programs for over 65 companies
in the San Francisco Bay Area, over the course of its twelve-year history.
JoAnne’s
previous business experience includes five years experience with major
investment banks in London. She worked as a foreign exchange and currency
option salesperson at Goldman Sachs where she advised 100 corporations
and fund managers around the globe in the management of their foreign
exchange risk. Prior to working at Goldman Sachs, JoAnne worked as an
international bond salesperson at Salomon Brothers advising European banking
institutions. She graduated with a MBA from Stanford University in 1985.
